Want to know who is coming to the wedding? Or can’t remember our friends’ or family members’ names? We’ve got you. Here’s everyone that’s coming and a very quick bio.
-
Jane Palmer & Bill Bellows
ALEXANDRA’S PARENTS
Married for over 35 years, Jane & Bill are Alexandra, Sam, and Jadah’s parents. A true renaissance woman with the ability to reinvent herself ten times over, Jane most recently has been an activist, writer, and award-winning collage artist. She’s famous for letting literal strangers sleep at our house. Bill is the coolest guy you’ll ever meet, and he has absolutely no idea. He is a designer, expert craftsman, and soccer enthusiast. Ask him about the sailboat he built. If you listen closely, he’s also incredibly funny. Jane & Bill are the best parents anyone could ask for, and are the source of Alexandra’s creativity and her “I can definitely do that myself” outlook on life.
-
Terri & Guillermo Echarte
GUILLERMO’S PARENTS
Guillermo’s birth ranks as the fourth-best moment for this amazing couple, married for 38 years. Third place goes to Max’s birth. Second? The electric thrill of courtship - Terri sweeping into the famed Ft. Lauderdale Volkswagen dealership, hair flowing, as Pops schemed his way to sell her “the deal of a lifetime”. Indeed it was. And number one? Likely their most recent bike ride. Terri is a force - a constant thinker, doer, and leader. Meanwhile, Dad’s usually found in his boxers, hollering in Spanish at a distributor, or cracking jokes just because. Though they’re opposites in many ways, they’re inseparable teammates at heart, always loving us - and everyone around them - fiercely. Guillermo seems to have inherited the best of both, and lucky for it.
-
Sam & Sandra Bellows
ALEXANDRA’S BROTHER & SISTER-IN-LAW
Sam, Alexandra’s brother & one of our wedding officiants, is incredibly smart, introspective, inquisitive, and sometimes brooding (he has the brows for it, ya know?). He’ll also make you laugh so hard you think you’re going to pee yourself, often with outlandish, made-up stories about complete nonsense. He also loves the Daily Mail & Charlie XCX (we all contain multitudes). He married Sanny (pronounced Sunny) in Portland, Maine in 2023. Sanny is sunny. She’s warm, silly, and puts you at ease. She’s from Berlin and has introduced the family to her amazing city. They live in Philadelphia near Sam & Alex’s sister, Jadah.
-
Max & Brooke Echarte
GUILLERMO’S BROTHER & SISTER-IN-LAW
Guillermo met Max when he was two. It was jarring and upsetting. Max took away a lot of the attention Guillermo felt he deserved… Well, they became best friends. While Guillermo is the older brother, Max often plays this role better. He is the most selfless, loyal, and caring person Guillermo has ever known. Guillermo looks up to Max (literally, as Max likes to remind him — “how’s the weather down there?!”). Brooke eventually came around like a badass Princess Charming and changed Max’s life forever. She is the best mom to their two big squishy dogs, Gus and Henry, and a wonderful friend to Alexandra. Max is also officiating our wedding, with Alex’s brother, Sam.
-
Jadah Spencer
ALEXANDRA’S SISTER
Alexandra spent most of her life as the only daughter, and cool girl of the family. When Jadah arrived, she was quickly dethroned (Alex didn’t mind). A tastemaker, fashion icon, a girl of the moment, Jadah is hilarious & brilliant. A queen of turning lemons into lemonade, Jadah is an ER nurse, so she’s seen some shit but somehow takes it all in stride with her unmatched sense of humor. No one makes our family laugh like Jadah, whether it’s telling us stories about her patients, buying Sam, Bill & Guillermo durags for Christmas, or teaching us how to use words like “bible” and “thicc.” Did we mention she’s brilliant? She’s getting her Masters in Nursing at Emory (and we’re super proud of her!!!!).
-
ANA, MAFER y PABLO
Ana, Mafer & Pablo are our wedding planners, and these three have become some of our best friends over the course of the last year. Ana and Mafer are logistical machines who have made all of our crazy, nontraditional dreams come to life. Sometimes we’ll throw out an idea and Mafer says “..…Okaaayyyyyyyyy…..” but will always find a way to make it happen. Pablo is like their tall, handsome, crazy brother, who always interrupts, and causes mischief, but has the best ideas. Guillermo, against Alex’s wishes, will go skydiving with him on their next trip to Mexico. We will remember our wedding weekend for the rest of our lives because of these three. They mean the absolute world to us and we’re going to miss our weekly calls & daily WhatsApp conversations. If you see them, please give them a hug (and a tequila shot).
-
CAROLINE REESE
Caroline has done it all—boarding school & Princeton grad, singer-songwriter who released 3 albums & toured the country, and then in an incredible pivot…rancher in Montana where she lives with her husband, Justin, and son Morgan aka Creatch. She’s the most interesting person you’ll meet, is full of (often well-researched & evidence-backed) hot takes, the occasional conspiracy theory, and would love to talk to you about UFOs. She’s also Alexandra’s lifelong best friend. They know each other’s most evil thoughts, which is, according to them, what best friends are for. Alexandra would be beyond lost without her.
-
ANNE MARIE RHOADES
Jack of all trades, master of many, Anne Marie is an honorary member of the Palmer-Bellows-Spencer family. Alexandra & AMR met when Alexandra was her intern during a gubernatorial campaign in 2013—our candidate ended up in prison—and the rest, as they say, is history. Anne Marie writes keynote speeches for companies like Apple (if you’ve ever heard of it), gives excellent TV show recommendations, is creative, thoughtful, & brilliant, and loves jokes about sickly Victorian children and plagues. Anne Marie & Alexandra also lived together in Philly during the pandemic and had, honestly, a great time.
-
NICOLE NEARHOOD
Nicole, one of our wedding emcees, is a force of nature. She’s like your eccentric, woo-woo aunt combined with a highly capable tech guru (just don’t ask her to use Github), and an incredible storyteller. Normally, Nicole lives just down the street from Alexandra and Guillermo, but she and Alex go way back to high school when they studied abroad in Spain during their junior year. This past year, Nicole’s been traveling the world but has spent the last few months living in a compound funded by Spam money (like the canned meat). Alex & Guillermo absolutely love it when she visits them in NYC. They play roommates for a few days, laughing nonstop. We love our Carmen Candelabra.
-
CHARLOTTE DAY-REISS
Charlotte is an enigma. Another Spain school friend, Charlotte has been a writer, producer & director. She then made a big pivot into the tech world. She’s now the CEO of her own AI company — ask her about it. Endlessly fascinating & inspiringly creative, Charlotte leads with empathy and kindness. She always has a funny anecdote, or an eye-opening perspective to share. My favorite of her stories involves her nanny & a possum when her family briefly lives in Miami.
-
Anastasia & Christopher Foderingham-Garraway
If you leave this weekend only meeting one couple, it should be Anastasia (Staz) & Christopher. Staz & Alexandra have known each other since high school (another Spain school friend), and has been lucky enough to meet her other half in Christopher. Dynamic, resilient, and hysterically funny, these two have it all. They met in Trinidad when they were teenagers and have been together ever since. They’re the couple you want at your dinner party, the couple you pray invites you to their BBQ, and the couple we’re lucky enough to call our friends. Ask Christopher about his thoughts on coconut water.
-
Carolyn Ganon & Matt Spaulding
If you’re ever in trouble, Carolyn is who you call. This quality served Alexandra and her friends well when they lives in Spain in high school, and found themselves…in trouble. If you were to dig up some old records at the police station in the Canary Islands, you’ll find that Carolyn is actually Nicole’s legal guardian. But really, Carolyn & her husband Matt are the smartest, kindest, most genuine people you’ll meet. They’re a couple Alexandra has always admired, and the type of partnership she was looking for before she met Guillermo.
-
HaleY McShane & Dylan Russell
Sweet, sweet Haley! Haley is Alexandra’s little in their sorority at Hopkins (kind of weird & off-brand for both of them). They’ve stayed super close ever since and got even closer when Haley left her stuffy consulting job in DC to work for a frozen yogurt company in New York (she doesn’t do that anymore). Silly, deeply caring, and sensitive, Haley is also a bit of a ringleader. She’s the perfect match for her partner, and our dear friend, Dylan. Stoic, thoughtful, & introspective, Dylan is the kind of guy who will make a mood board for Haley’s surprise engagement party & share it with everyone remotely involved to make sure the vibes are just right for his bride-to-be. We can’t wait for these two to get married in September!
-
BECCA & TOM BISHOP
Becca is another member of Alexandra’s sorority squad. Kind & thoughtful, Becca is kind of friend who can sense when something is wrong and will always text you to check in. She’s also the glue that keeps us together—the one that organizes our Secret Santa every year, and the one that goes out of her way to make trips to NY from Charlotte. She’s also a bit of a wildcard—a homebody by nature, she’ll surprise you with tickets to see Steve Aoki in Vegas. Her husband, Tom, is loveable, calming, supportive, and easygoing. So easygoing that he tolerates living with their 58 pets, despite being allergic to all of them.
-
Samantha & Joe Trumbetti
Samantha is the youngest of Alexandra’s Johns Hopkins sorority girl gang, but also the most grown up. She has a literal child, although she did name him Joegy, which is questionable. Wise beyond her years, Samantha is thoughtful, generous, and incredibly composed. Despite her maturity, Samantha is known for having the pallette of a child, and famously very hard to cook for (who only likes strawberries if they are cut up into tiny pieces?). Her tastebuds have come a long way in recent years, and we think she’ll enjoy the food in CDMX. Samantha is married to her college sweetheart, Joey, who is a kind, goofy, sensitive soul. You’ll find him daydreaming about the power of love. They’re both civil engineers which means means they do something with bridges.
-
Monika Sullivan & Alex WhitTham
Alexandra once described Monika (mo-nee-kah) as “so nice you think she’s fake, but it’s not.” It’s true! We don’t deserve Monika! Maybe her husband Alex does because he’s a gem, too. Monika and the two Alexs met at Hopkins, where Monika & Alexandra were roommates freshman year and became dear friends. Monika was on the track team (Alexandra was apparently always destined to be a track fan), and Alex was a water polo star—true power couple energy. They now live in the Bay Area with their very well-behaved dog Maya (she gets her goodness from her parents). Monika is a baby kidney doctor, which we understand to be very important, but have no idea what it means.
-
Becca & Rachel Wald
Becca (right) lived in the same dorm suite with Alexandra & Monika freshman year. Becca is vibrant and full of life & laughter. She’s hilarious, fun to be around, and deeply generous. She’s known to be a little fickle—our sophomore year she literally transferred to another college for a month, realized it was the wrong move, and came back to Hopkins. Kept us on our toes!! But Becca always ends up exactly where she’s supposed to be, and does it with a laugh. She’s now an OBGYN (Alexandra likes to keep a few doctors close). Becca’s husband Danny is home with their baby Stella, so Becca’s joined by her sister Rachel (left).
-
Mary McGee & J.R. Howe
Sometimes when couples meet in high school, it’s like, kind of lame, but Mary & J.R. make it cool & fun. Mary & Alexandra were coworkers for many years at the Atlantic, but JR arrived long, long before that. These two are always up to something, usually involving some game or competition they’ve dreamed up. They got married at a summer camp, where we all slept in cabins (they were described as “open air,” which Alexandra never dreamed would mean they just didn’t have walls). Mary & J.R. closed out the night with the High School Musical dance, perfectly choreographed. But again, not lame, just cool & fun.
Their wedding on Lake George was also Alexandra & Guillermo’s first trip together and a turning point in their relationship. On their way back to the city, they ended up staying in the Airbnb, where they would later get engaged. It’s a really special memory that we’re glad is inherently linked to these two.
-
Kelly Burke & Mary Kate Hogan
Kelly Burke (left). Where to begin? Kelly & Alexandra were roommates for many years, and one of Alex’s absolute favorites (this is saying something because Alex had roommates from age 14-30). Kelly watched Alexandra navigate dating in NYC before she met Guillermo with minimal (expressed) judgement and a smile. Kelly is probably best known for her preternatural gift-giving ability—gifts that will make you laugh or cry & are perfectly suited to you. Gifts you open, and you’re like, “holy shit, how did she know I needed this custom raccoon sweatshirt.” She’s clever, interesting, and thoughtful. We all should have a Kelly. She’s joined by her friend Mary Kate (right).
-
Solange Levy & Erica Dorfman
Sol (right) is one of those friends that you surely knew in a past life. Alexandra first met Sol through Carolyn (another dear friend, see above)—they went to Barnard together. Guillermo entered the picture and the three of us have always just clicked. Sol is incredibly smart (she has an incredibly impressive career) and has a profound depth to her that is hard to find. She’s also incredibly funny. We love her. She’s joined by her girlfriend Erica (left) who we’re soooooooooooooooo excited to meet!
-
Anna Li & Jack Ratner
Anna & Alexandra started on the same day at work. Anna quickly asserted herself as an incredibly sharp, driven badass. Alexandra, who is used to being one of the more competent people in the room, was like…“Oh shit, this is someone to attach myself to.” Now they’re lucky enough to be thought partners every day, navigate the ups & downs of the start-up world, build new products, and generally try to do their best. Anna’s been an incredible sounding board about all things wedding-related. She lives in Brooklyn with her boyfriend, Jack, and their dog, Pen.
-
Heidi Young & Nathalie Alfandary
Heidi (left) is a rare fine—she and Alexandra didn’t meet through mutual friends or work but at a bar in Brooklyn (on a Sunday, no less). After a whirlwind day of adventures, they both ended up calling in sick to work the next day, cementing their friendship forever. Heidi and her wife, Nat (right), are the embodiment of warmth, generosity, inclusivity, and fun. They had to work their butts off to make sure Nat’s visa could get her to Mexico. We’re so lucky they could make it.
-
Gabi & Andrew Ermogenous
Gabi is one of Guillermo’s closest friends and second favorite UNC alum. She married Guillermo’s college classmate Andrew, which was an oddly smart thing for a Tar Heel to do. What resulted is a courtship between Andrew and Guillermo, who love sharing flattering selfies. Andrew and Gabi are an insanely fun, forever supportive, big, fat Greek-Hispanic shabang that produced one of the world’s cutest human beings in Penelope. These guys are our family, we just can’t figure out how to pronounce their last name.
-
Binoy Bhansali
The first picture Binoy sent Guillermo for this directory was a shitty pixelated selfie of himself in an elevator. Now everyone knows. In reality, Binoy (Guillermo’s ex-roommate) is one of the most put-together, intelligent human beings we are lucky enough to know. Binoy has had a life plan since before he could walk, and he’s actually still living it out. He runs an ultra-successful healthcare company focused on delivering the highest quality care to low-income patients. When you meet him, that will make total sense. We’ll deeply miss his perfect peach of a wife, Paige (she’s at home with baby Remi), who is secretly Guillermo’s favorite of the two.
-
Rudy Villanueva
First to cry, Rudy is the best hug you’ll receive all weekend. Just make sure to order your level of squeeze appropriately. Guillermo and Rudy have been best buds since the 7th grade, originally bonding over having the same body type. Rudy dreams more than any other realist Guillermo has ever met. They cherish every second together, and also talk about cherishing every second. No one embodies loyalty and love quite like Rudy. You can see this in the way he talks about his perfect son Zen. Ask for more pictures.
-
Bob & Annie ARÁN
No other friend at the wedding has known Guillermo for as long as Bob. They quickly became friends in the 6th grade, were co-captains (along with Danny Silva) on their State Champion track team, and have always been each other’s wingman. Annie put a stop to that, inserting herself like the soprano she is. What has resulted is an absolute quirk machine. Bob and Annie share a secret language, have iconic voice memos, and unapologetically dance like buffoons. Their relationship is an important reminder that it is beautiful to be you in a judgemental world, and that nothing in this universe is accidental.
P.S. There’s an accent over the 2nd A in Arán but the header font doesn’t come with accents. So it’s not “uh-ran,” it’s spicier than that. -
Danny & Michelle Silva
Danny is Guillermo’s chosen older brother and role model, teaching him how to drink, talk to girls, and dress. Per his ID, Guillermo was literally "Danny Silva" until he turned 21. They still share a Curious George stuffed animal they bought when Danny left for college - a very cute token of their unforgettable memories growing up. Danny somehow charmed Michelle, the local bombshell who they grew up with. Calm and serene, sunny and kind, Michelle is Danny’s guardian angel (and occasional caretaker). Together, they have their most beautiful Ceci and a little sister on the way!
-
Timmy O'Connor & Tori Rodriguez
Timmy is that kid you grew up with who was a sneaky genius. He’s good at pretty much everything and always knew something about everything. Guillermo always wanted to be part of whatever Timmy and Danny (best friends) were up to. Timmy is a builder in every sense—by trade, as a chef, as a curator, and most importantly, as a friend. Protective by nature, Timmy was always there. He’s the glue—someone you can’t help but want around. Tori is Timmy’s perfect match. Also a Miami native, she’s as much a curator of life as Timmy. Originally swooned by his tush and Cuban-Irish bravado, Tori brought magic into Timmy’s life and added a whole new dimension to it. Married in May last year, they’re explorers at heart, seeking the next adventure - when not bending to the whims of their beloved cat, Tuna.
-
Alexis Fernandez
Our incredible wedding emcee alongside Nicole, there’s no better party shaman than Alexis. Guillermo and Alexis went to high school together, but their friendship really blossomed later in life. While Alexis has transformed since then in many ways, he still remains the most popular of any of his many friend groups—and for good reason. A day with Alexis is a day of laughing, learning, loving, growing, and indulging. As a Doctor of Chinese Medicine based in Portland, Alexis has given so, so much to both of our families in the form of advice and healing. He will forever be a constant in our lives, no matter how far apart we may be.
-
Michael Eder
Eder is so chill that when he goes to the beach, the ice in his drink asks him for tips. He is that guy selling pancakes at Burning Man in exchange for a dusty hug. Always mellow and upbeat (even when things aren't perfect), Eder brightens every conversation with his laugh and lights up the dancefloor with his sneaky hips. Guillermo met him in high school track, where Eder—a Key West native (yes, people actually grow up there)—led a crew of long-haired, puka-shelled bros around an oval (aka a track), always looking effortlessly cool. Thinking back to those days It’s frankly crazy he’s here this weekend. Freakin’ awesome, mannnnn.
-
Eugenia Alliegro & Christian Cox
Our favorite CDMX residents, Christian and Eugy are the perfect window to this vibrant city. We often daydream about living in their building, imagining days filled with art, deep conversations, laughter, and spiritual adventures. Their boundless curiosity fuels a life of constant exploration and discovery, inspiring us in our own journey of growth as individuals and as partners. Married at Burning Man last year, they embody the evolving spirit we admire and aspire to. We’re so grateful they’re here to celebrate our wedding and can’t wait for countless visits in the future—maybe even starting a commune together. Alex would thrive in Eugy and Adri’s art studio, while Guillermo and Christian would probably conjure up an insanely profitable e-commerce business selling bamboo toilet paper on Amazon. Oh wait, Christian and Eugy actually do this already. Yes, they run the #1 bamboo toilet paper company on Amazon. What Betterway to end this bio?
-
Adriana Brillembourg
Adriana is Eugenia’s best friend. She lives in the apartment above them in CDMX. The two of them have created this dream world—they’ve converted their top-floor storage units into artist spaces, where they paint, learn Korean tapestry, and play around with whatever their hearts desire. Alexandra and Guillermo are plotting how they can snag one of the other apartments in their building.
We’ve actually only met Adri once but we loved her a lot and wanted her to be at our wedding. -
Cool Gabb & Anthony Diblasi
Gabriella and Anthony’s love story began back in the 2000s when life was simpler, AIM was revolutionary, and electronic music was taking over Miami. Anthony, a standout football player and Guillermo’s close friend at Belen, found himself drawn into the orbit of Gabriella, the undeniable queen of our high school social scene. With an AIM screen name like Cool Gabb (and panache to back it up), she was vibrant, magnetic, and affable—a best friend Guillermo adored, and a presence Anthony couldn’t resist. Together, Gabb and Anthony have been ringleaders of joy. Gabb’s boundless energy and love are perfectly balanced by Anthony’s grounded and loyal presence. They are who you want to dance with at a music festival—until it’s time to leave… Gabb simply won’t let you. Masters of dancing through life, they are now parents to Gigi and Kiki, two little forces of nature destined to embrace life with the same passion and joy that define their amazing parents.
-
Dylan & Fernanda Glazier
It’s 2018 in Long Island City, and Guillermo moves into the same building as Dylan and Fer. It set the stage for the origins of LIC Fam. Dylan and Guillermo hit it off immediately, forming a profound bromance that soon included Colin. This led to a pandemic full of 2 am wine-fueled existential debates about Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen. Dylan, who was born a dad, is known for his unapologetic Canadian sense of humor (he grew up in the middle of nowhere), and an undying devotion to his fiery Mexican wife, Fer. He’s so committed to Mexican culture that he regularly serenades strangers with his love for Dos Toros. Fer, on the other hand, is reality TV royalty in her own right. She’s sworn off champagne at the wedding, though—it doesn’t agree with her, and we’d rather her not go viral for the wrong reasons. Together, these two have mastered the art of turning “just one drink” into an all-night laugh-fest punctuated by the occasional fart (or was it?) from Dylan. And if you haven’t heard about their son, Mateo, buckle up. This kid is pure perfection. Seriously, ask to see pictures, especially his Halloween costume—you won’t regret it.
-
COLIN MARTIN & SOFIA PENN
Back in 2021, Guillermo adopted a brother when Colin moved in—a blessing that changed Guillermo’s life for the better. They spent most days cooking, laughing at nonsense, listening to deep house, and saunaing. As a trained chef, Colin whipped up meals so insanely good that Guillermo and Dylan started measuring all other food against Colin’s masterpieces. You could say he became their gold standard, both in the kitchen and as a friend. Along the way, Alex visited the apartment for the first time, and ended up chatting with Colin in his room for hours. Colin is all soul: sweet, supportive, and generous beyond belief. You want to be in his warm orbit. He is your modern man—complete with a daily skincare routine, an organized closet worthy of Dylan’s approval, and a lover of everything KPop. Somehow, Colin and Guillermo both found partners outside of their bromance. Sof arrived, a bright ray of sunshine who can light up any dinner table—she is bubbly, artfully talented, an optimist—a perfect complement to our sweet, sweet Colin.
-
Morgan Rossi & Michael Shepherd
Morgan is the human equivalent of a power ballad: dramatic, unstoppable, unforgettable. She is the female reincarnation of Bruce Springsteen, just working a tech job (her & Guillermo first met at LinkedIn). She has the voice, the charisma, hosts a crowd like no other—is simply a MF boss. Enter Michael: incredibly sweet, unassuming, and somehow the one guy who managed to turn a two-month waitlist for Morgan’s time into a lifelong reservation. His secret? Killer patience, undeniable charm, and an endless supply of world-class wine (he’s secretly a sommelier). We were lucky enough to celebrate these two rockstars tie the knot last year, and are so stoked they’re at ours, ready to party like it’s their second encore.
-
Diana Karvelis
Always here to remind Guillermo where he went to college, Diana (“DEEEEEE-AHHHH-NAHHHHH”) and Guillermo became fast friends after she transferred to the NYC LinkedIn office when they were both but children. They grew up professionally together and developed a relationship grounded in mutual experience within work that extended well beyond. Diana is bright, thoughtful, and an incredible listener. When not eating perogies, you’ll frequently find her with Morgan, likely in a foreign country. These two are both fully employed, yet somehow manage to travel to three countries every month. We don’t get it. We are so grateful this Lithuanian firecracker could add this trip to her list!
-
Stephen & Emma Clark
Stephen and Guillermo were college track teammates at Duke—a duo bonded by a shared love of speed and questionable decisions. Stephen, then a clean-cut Mormon dreamboat, had a secret fascination with Red Bull and F1, while Guillermo played the devil on his shoulder, egging him on. Case in point: the time they hit Franklin Street’s Halloween party in matching Hooters outfits, complete with white crop tops and orange short shorts stuffed with socks. Guillermo even ended up in a tussle with a UNC wrestler named Rocco (great idea) before the two sprinted off giggling like teenagers.
Stephen survived this era and met Emma, a Duke sorority queen with a sharp mind and a big heart. Their worlds aligned, and now they’re living the dream in Boulder, Colorado, with their adorable kids, Lucy and Miles. Stephen hits the trails like the wind, while Emma literally takes flight paragliding. It’s a perfect partnership… one that Alex and Guillermo hope to witness on more trips to Boulder (and Red Rocks!).
-
Ryan & Allison McDermott
Ryan is the mastermind behind Guillermo ending up at Duke—a recruitment trip that turned into a borderline abduction and ended with a complete indoctrination into the team’s legendary debauchery. Ryan convinced the coach to give Guillermo a spot, branding him a “locker room guy” (translation: vibes over stats). Meanwhile, Ryan was busy being an actual STUD, winning back-to-back ACC titles in the steeplechase, often referred to as the hardest event in track.
These days, Ryan’s still crushing it, running Sales at Barstool Sports—a company that’s basically a frat house with a media budget and just enough HR to stay legal. And his biggest W? Allison, his dream girl. She not only survives the chaos of the McDermott clan but thrives, hosting killer parties and being a rockstar mom to their future Olympians, Della and Millie. Absolute legends.
-
Sean-Patrick Oswald
Affectionately known as Spo amongst Duke track elites. Spo is the type of guy that will epically fail when trying to say something insulting. It comes off Midwestern and cute and leaves you wondering how the world can be so cruel. He is the last active link of our Duke track group back to the program, where he is an Assistant Coach while managing some important international operation at Merck. Humble to a fault, and perpetually selfless, Spo is the type of guy you want to be your kid’s grandfather.
-
Laz Oseni
We are especially moved that Laz has traveled cross-earth all the way from London to teach our dancefloor the lesson it deserves. No one knows how Laz and Guillermo met in the first place, but it was love at first dance. Laz epitomizes effortless sociability and is always a great time. If you’re lucky enough to peel back the onion, you’ll find a self-examining and softspoken heartthrob seeking actualization… but he’ll also be taking shots.
-
Matt & Molly Gralla
New York’s hottest couple is also one of its most intriguing. M&M exude a joie de vivre driven by genuine curiosity, love for experience, and loyal connection. What results is intentional spontaneity that Guillermo was lucky enough to experience firsthand as Matt ex-roommate, and that Molly now helps cultivate. Look forward to their spark, their laughs, and Matt’s fervent opinions on food. They. Will. Never. Stop.
-
Jeff Becker & Miki Lager
Meet Jeff, Whisperer to New York City’s budding entrepreneurs and General Partner at Antler, one of the most active seed-stage VC firms on the planet. He’s like the Casey Neistat of our wedding—perpetually in motion, always innovating, and somehow making it all look easy. But unlike your typical Type A NYC overachiever, Jeff’s superpower is his intention and ability to help others thrive. Alex and I once fancied ourselves Jeff’s unofficial dating coaches, but spoiler alert: he crushed it without us. Enter Miki, a jet-setting startup operator who might actually outshine Jeff in both worldliness and intrigue. We’re so thrilled to call her a friend-in-the-making.
-
-
Derek & Lauren Berrey
A few years back, Derek slid into Guillermo’s LinkedIn DMs—not for love, but for career advice. Guillermo, intrigued by Derek’s looks and cry for help, thought, “Alright, if this guy actually lands the job, we’ll probably end up friends.” Spoiler: Derek crushed it, and the bromance began. Derek’s basically a towering teddy bear—kind, unassuming, and surprisingly witty for someone so chill. He’s beyond head over heels for his wife, Lauren. We understand why. Lauren is a walking main character—stunning and magnetic. We can’t wait to see them dominate the dance floor at the wedding.
-
Arthur & Lindsay Leopold
Before Duke even started, there was a Facebook group for the incoming class, and Arthur basically lived in it. Guillermo, witnessing Arthur’s online enthusiasm, thought, “Yeah, hard pass on this guy.” Fast forward: they became fraternity rush chairs, traveled to Europe together, moved to NYC together, and have now worked together at not one, but two jobs (including Arthur’s current startup Agentio). While some of his closest friends won’t admit it, Arthur’s a modern-day renaissance man who continues to evolve, in large part due to his real CEO, Lindsay. When Lindsay entered Artie’s life, Guillermo knew instantly that she was his jackpot. For one thing, she was actually sticking around. She was also an absolute prize—stunning, insanely patient, honest, kind, and the cherry on top for Arthur—a culinary genius. So much so that Martha decided to hire her (somehow leaving her out of the documentary). Together, they’re raising Sophie, a tiny force of nature combining Arthur’s hustle and Lindsay’s impeccable taste. If world domination were a family business, this trio would be on the cover of Forbes.
-
Jud Finnegan
Guillermo is so fired up for Jud to meet his uncle Bobby. These two are cut from the same cloth—poised lawyers (but very likable), armed with a quiet wit that sneaks up on you, and massive hearts. They're the guys you want to hear speak, even though they’d rather let the spotlight hit someone else. Jud looks every bit the scratch golfer he is, but his real talent might be tearing it up to funk and soul. We can’t wait to see him lipsyncing on the dance floor, most likely serenading our friend Tim as they egg each other on. His beautiful wife Ellen, who’s glowing with baby numero dos on the way, was gracious enough to let Jud come celebrate with us—and we couldn’t be happier to have him here (we love you, Ellen!).
-
Sam Eisenstat
Aka Efrat aka the Plight. Sammy Sweartheart is every friend group's favorite "did-he-really-just-do-that?" guy. He’ll leave you laughing so hard your abs will beg you for mercy, and yes, his suit will probably still have the tags on it but he won’t know and you shouldn’t tell him. What really matters is that he is the absolute best—relentlessly positive, caring, and actually a wiz—by day he’s a healthcare and ops strategist at PwC. We’ll miss the love of his life Michael, who is committed to life-saving in NYC, but trust us, Sam is more than enough entertainment for one day.

Cody & Kelsey Kolodziejzyk
Cody is the proud owner of this wedding’s most unspellable last name. He also has a resume straight out of a fever dream. He was always destined for a life of obscure greatness. He gets it from his dad, a Guinness World Record holder with achievements like “most distance traveled by human power in 24 hours.” Cody’s life has been a series of unconventional milestones, from collegiate diver to app store king to DJ/music blogger to his magnum opus: marrying Kelsey. Like Cody, she has the Midas touch, a heart of gold, and a much better comedic touch. When Cody’s not reluctantly conquering Ironmans and Ultras, he and Kelsey are busy chasing around Otis, their beloved meatball of a son (not pictured).
-
Tim & TORI Nixon
Tim and Tori have made the trip all the way from Toronto to grace us with their presence—and Tim’s legendary antics. Larger than life (literally, he’s very tall), Tim’s dedication to longevity is unmatched, which will be abundantly clear when his shirt inevitably comes off by midnight. Once known for smashing guitars; now, he leads both Buffalo Bills tailgates and a multinational software business. Beneath his towering presence is a massive heart, perfectly matched by his wife, Tori, who is equal parts stunning, hilarious, and absurdly jacked (rivaling Tim). Together, they’re the proud (and absurdly photogenic) parents of Posie and Gordon, looking like they walked straight out of a Ralph Lauren catalog.
-
Adam & Elizabeth Cue
Meet Adam, Guillermo’s college buddy and the brains behind the "swipe" you use on your phone to get to “Inbox Zero”. Think Steve Wozniak, but more trim, with better jokes, and easily tanned courtesy of his Cuban-Miami roots. Adam is the rare combo of genius, fun, and humility. This led him to meet Elizabeth at Duke, who is half angel. She is that person you meet and walk away asking yourself, “was that person even real?!”. She has literally spent her days running a public school system and still manages to hold immense compassion for humanity. Flora, their baby girl, is clearly on track to save the world.
-
Alex & Audrey Kluge
Alex is Guillermo’s kindest Duke friend (and ex-roommate). This has become even more annoyingly apparent since his courtship of Audrey, who is equally as kind and soulful. Congratulate the beautiful couple on their most recent nuptials, and their impending move from Chicago to Massachusetts. Guillermo and Alex are planning a months-long cycling trip on a tandem bike, and this is the first time AB & Audrey are reading about it.
-
Neil McCarthy
Don’t be fooled by this photo; Neil owns his own apartment in the suburbs of Brookland. An ex-St. Louis Square, Neil epitomizes all that makes Brooklyn decidedly cool. His rizz is effortlessly effervescent, especially when he’s indulged in some grass candy, playing records, outdoor grilling, and slinging Botox. His dad is also the shit.
-
Ben Morrow
Don’t confuse asphalt and concrete in front of Ben. Besides this odd quirk, he’s the sweetest international trail running superstar, and ex-victim of Guillermo’s woeful college running career (they actually aren’t sure if they competed against one another). Ben is the founder of Miler Running, an overpriced technical running brand that sponsors Guillermo. You may find him wearing a tortoise print at the wedding.
-
Josue Rivas
Josue is perhaps our most creative friend, and the reason why Ralph Lauren is still a very relevant brand. He is so dedicated to his creative process that one morning he had his electric bike stolen from behind him while photographing a group of runners as a side gig (including Guillermo) in a park. If you see him at the wedding with his computer open responding to Ralph Lauren e-mails, please give this beautiful creature a chupito of mezcal. You’ll then get to know the flower that is Sue (pronounced “Sway”)—warm, loving, and oddly good at video games.
-
Jordan Chavez & Nat Roe
Jordan Chavez is who JC Chasez of N’Sync fame wanted to be when he was a kid. Arguably Guillermo’s fastest friend (he ran a sub 4:10 mile in HIGH SCHOOL), Jordan is not just a skillful athlete, but also an accomplished tech sales vet (and who every tech sales bro wishes he was). Somehow he is nowhere close to as cool as his beautiful and talented partner Nat. While she’s a creative producer at NBC today, there will be a day when you’ll be watching her show on Netflix and say, “ha! I had a shot with that girl at AB & Gui’s wedding.” There is no ceiling for her or this stunning couple (ask about their love story).
-
Will & Nichelle Temple
Will can do anything. He is who Brooklynites dress to become but never will be. An endless source of knowledge, he juggles training for 100k trail races while running IPG’s pharma portfolio (and Univision…how does that make sense?!) while also moonlighting as Miler Running’s handyman. We are also graced by his stunning wife Nichelle. If her skin looks like freakin Wiindexed glass, it’s because she is the Yoda of the epidermis.
-
LESLIE GREENFIELD
ALEXANDRA’S AUNT
Leslie has been Alexandra’s mom, Jane’s best friend, for 40 years. She went on Jane & Bill’s honeymoon with them, which is such a power move. She’s been a fixture in our family, sharing Thanksgiving with us every year (she drives all the way down from Boston). Loving, funny & generous, we couldn’t be happier she’s here.
-
Doug & Kendall James
Doug & Kendall are kind of the only relatives on Bill’s side that Alexandra really likes. THERE I SAID IT. They met at Quaker boarding school, the same one where most of Bill’s relatives met their partners (Alexandra didn’t go there because, at 14, she decided she wasn’t ready to meet her husband). They live in Charleston, have adorable Southern accents, are are a joy to be around. They recently drove 12 hours from SC to PA just to celebrate Jane’s birthday. Doug is Bill’s nephew, I don’t think we said that.
-
Steven Oltman & Richard Garcia
Stephen and Richard aren’t just our Miami Beach neighbors—they’re practically family. It took Guillermo time to figure this out though—he spent his childhood scared to trespass on their property after accidentally launching basketballs over the wall connecting the two properties. Turns out, he should’ve been sticking around for the company (and the happy hours). Fast forward: Alex and Guillermo now make every Miami visit an excuse to hang with these legends. They’ve even been able to spend quality time together in Mexico City, so it was only obvious they needed Stephen and Richard back for the wedding.
-
Charo & Jorge Echarte
Charo and Jorge (aka Señor Gaga) are Guillermo’s aunt & uncle, and the beautiful parents of Jorge, aka Dodo. Jorge Sr is the eldest boy of the Echarte clan, carrying the torch (and name) of our beloved abuelito. He is also an incredible artist who can always be found laughing and smiling with Charo, his stunning wife and artistic muse.
-
James Cammuso & Jorge Echarte
Jorge (a.k.a. “Dodo”) was Guillermo’s social idol growing up. As the original Echarte family stand-up act, he would effortlessly hold court at family gatherings, making everyone spit drinks from laughing too hard. Fast forward: Dodo proved he’s not all jokes—graduating from HBS and now shaping the world of payments at JPM. Enter James, Dodo’s better half and social chair. He’s the yin to Dodo’s sass, a Soul Cycle prodigy, front-row tennis royalty, master of keeping Dodo in line, and a certified closet thief (actually not sure who steals whose clothes). Together, they’re perfect, and we need to see them more often.
-
Felipe & Patty Echarte
Felipe and Patty have owned a frat house since the 80s. Having four criminally insane boys and finally one perfect girl proved to be a nonstop circus of fun, that also resulted in 79 grandchildren. They have always been THE SPOT in Ft. Lauderdale. Doors always open, Felipe has lived as a human jungle gym, swinging around grandkids like his sons used to do with Gullermo and Max. Meanwhile, Patty is the picture of elegance in a sea of madness. She’s the unflappable queen of cool, handling the wildest boys with a calm smile that says, "I’ve seen worse."
-
Patricia & John Harris
Patricia, aka Pat Girl, is the youngest of the nine Echarte siblings. It’s a role she takes seriously as if she’s been trying to out-party her older siblings since birth. Then there’s John. Loud, aggressive, and always ready for a fight... he’s actually the family stoic, a human encyclopedia with a knack for turning casual interests into devotions. It’s a quality Guillermo deeply admires and tries to emulate, though knows it will take many years to become as prolific of a barista and cyclist as John. Together, these two are a match made in caffeine-fueled, pedal-powered heaven. With Pat gearing up for retirement, the duo is about to embark on a vagabond adventure: a van, a couple of bikes, zero plans, and endless open road. We love these two so much, just don’t look Pat Girl in the eye on the dance floor.
-
Miguel Echarte
Meet Miguel: widely considered Papi’s favorite brother. Papi reminds us every birthday that he was the best gift Miguel ever received (they share the same day). Miguel is the guy you were a little afraid of as a kid, but admire as an adult—he's wicked smart and the unofficial Echarte family oracle for hot takes, bold market bets, and legendary grilling secrets. Guillermo fondly recalls a cycling trip with Miguel as a transformative experience—less Tour de Torture like with his parents, more Tour de espresso and pastelitos. Guillermo keeps this tradition alive by finishing nearly all of his long runs at a coffee shop. It’s only right.
-
Maria & Kieran O'Connor
Maria is Guillermo’s perfect godmother and the glue of the expansive O’Connor-Echarte tribe. To know her is to know her family—spend time with the O’Connors and you’ll quickly feel the love they have for each other. Maria’s story with Kieran started back in high school when our massive Cuban family started noticing that this white Irish guy was spending a lot of time at the house. Was it to hang out with Miguel? Was it Maricusa’s black beans and rice? Nope—it was Maria. For years, he hovered around like a lovesick shadow until one day, he finally popped the question. Maria said yes, and we’ve been blessed with Kieran since. He is part stoic philosopher, part pitmaster, part unhinged Gator fan. Together, Maria and Kieran raised Kieran and Julia, some of our best friends for life.
-
Kieran & Lexie O'Connor
One reason why Guillermo loves Kieran is because he reminds him of his brother Max—thoughtful, selfless, and full of quiet depth. Kieran has a way of making everyone feel cared for. He’s also secretly one of the most fascinating people in the room. Kieran is like Guillermo’s uncle John in that he takes great pride and care in his interests, many of which he shares with Guillermo—espresso and cocktails especially. Lexie is Kieran’s firecracker, joy-filled wife, who might be more excited for our wedding than we are. These two are our Chicago family, our future travel companions, and some of the most special people in our lives. We couldn’t be happier to celebrate with them.
-
Julia Sweetman
Julia is Guillermo’s cousin and freshly minted newlywed (two weeks in, love you, Raul!). She’s her mom’s twin in spirit—just with the volume cranked up and a touch more sass. The undisputed queen of the Echarte clan, she’s everyone’s honorary little sister, keeper of family gossip, and the ultimate cool older cousin for the baby cousins. Her bond with her brother Kieran is unmatched, and while naming her dog Storm has raised some eyebrows (what about her future kids?!), we still love her unconditionally. She also changed her literal wedding date for us (we somehow had the same day booked). A queen.
-
Cristina, Mia & Bobby Brochin
Cristina and Bobby are the heart and soul of our extended family, hosting the legendary Echarte Thanksgiving feast for 70+ people every year with effortless grace. Cristina is the aunt everyone dreams of—stylish, supportive, and the one you trust with your secrets (plus, she’s Max’s lucky godmother). Bobby, with his sharp mind and giant heart, is the family’s go-to for advice, whether it’s legal, life, or everything in between. Together, they make everyone feel cared for, and their daughter Mia—Guillermo’s beautiful cousin—is the perfect reflection of their love and strength.
-
Paul & Lea Dombrowski
Paul is Terri’s brother, Guillermo’s godfather, and the human equivalent of a multi-tool—you’ll instantly know he’s never met a desk job he liked by the grip of his handshake. He’s the rugged adventurer every modern man thinks they are, but, let’s face it, can’t even pretend to be. Mountain biking is his playground, and we’re thrilled he’s taking a break to kick back before hitting Mexican trails in Oaxaca. Meanwhile, his daughter Lea—our lovely cousin—has traded adrenaline for avocado toast as a holistic health coach and nutrition guru in California. Together, they’re proof that grit and greens can coexist in one family.
-
Mary Dombrowski
Terri’s sister and a globe-trotting pro, Mary’s based in Atlanta (for now), and seems to collect passport stamps like some people collect houseplants. During her NYC era, she secured “Coolest Aunt” status with Guillermo. He vividly remembers staying at her apartment, the feeling of the non-stop bustle of NYC, sparking his first dreams of living in the city. Mary frequently visits, we love keeping connected to her travels and are thrilled she is adding Mexico City to the list.
-
Olivia Long
Olivia: Guillermo’s cousin, Mary’s brilliant offspring, and the reigning trivia queen of presidential names (seriously, all of them, in order - impressive and mildly terrifying). A Universal Music Group wizard by day and a lifelong Chicago Bears fan by birthright, she’s also Hugo’s (our friends Fer & Dylan’s dog) ultimate BFF. The family consensus? She’s probably the smartest one of the bunch, but she’s still humble enough to hang with the rest of us.
